Gave my fro a good ol’ washing the other night and I used some new products (well I bought them ages ago – just hadn’t used them yet) so I thought I would do a little review on them.
Firstly, these products both smelly lovely. A subtle but pleasant scent. I can’t really describe it; it’s something you would have to smell yourself but it’s not overpowering at all which is a plus. I used the conditioner to moisturise and detangle my hair hair before washing it with the shampoo. The conditioner helped me to get rid of all the dead (as in no longer attached to my scalp) hair. It also made the washing experience easier for me.
After using the sulfate-free shampoo my hair literally felt velvety. That’s most probably down to the fact that the shampoo is sulfate-free, meaning it didn’t strip my hair of its natural oils and vital moisture in order to cleanse it. I’m also sure some of the ingredients had a part to play, such as the infusion of argan oil, which has amazing properties. Going back to the conditioner, it helped to treat and soften my dehydrated hair; I definitely noticed a difference.
Did my usual thing after washing – did not dry it at all apart from dabbing the sides, to keep as much moisture in as possible – sealed my hair with my shea mix and coconut oil. My hair is ‘alive’ again, thanks to all these products. Wish I had taken a picture of my hair after it was washed but I was terribly tired; I was up till late (1am-ish – that’s very late for me) doing my hair, so went straight to bed.
