Brilliant Braid Out

Bottom right: Nice style if you leave the detail and the front and pull it together at the back?

March is here and I have a natural hair post for you all. I just had to share my most successful braid out with you, and what I used.

It took a little while to get here but people, I can now say I have a collection of staples that my hair loves. Things that I can fall back to if and when things go wrong. I have actually done reviews on all of the products I used to get this fluffy soft braid out; click on the titles to see the posts.

Creme of Nature – Conditioner and Shampoo
I used the conditioner to detangle my hair and it does it SO well for me. The tangles literally fell out! Then washed each section with the no sulphate shampoo – you need no sulphate shampoo in your life.

African Pride – Shea Butter Miracle Buttery Créme
I could just feel my hair softening as this was applied to each section I was about to plait.

Lucy Bee – Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil
Before plaiting the section I would seal it with this good stuff. I think the coconut oil made a big difference this time around; I would usually use my shea mix. Although that is good, it doesn’t give my hair as much shine as the pure coconut oil. Also, coconut oil won’t weigh your hair down as much as other oils and butters do.

When I took the braids out (leave it at least 24 hours, otherwise you won’t get the same results), the only word I could think of to describe my hair was –

YUMMY

My hair has never felt so soft. Let me know how you get fluffy twist/braid outs!
