Hair Smoothie – Avocado & Coconut Milk

We drink smoothies because they’re good for us and contain various nutrients that promote good health. So why not give our hair some smoothie treatment, directly?

Now, let’s get to this first hair smoothie.

You will need:
1/2 of an Avocado
1 Cup Coconut milk
1 Egg
1 Tablespoon Olive oil (heaped)
1 Tablespoon Honey 

Blend everything together, then apply to washed hair. Cover your hair with a plastic cap and let the smoothie settle in for 20-30 minutes. Rinse out thoroughly with cool water (you don’t want the egg to ‘cook’ in your hair, making it harder to come out).

Benefits: The high-fat content of avocado’s makes hair less brittle and prone to breakage. Coconut milk nourishes the hair and is a natural detangler. Eggs are naturally rich in protein, which promotes strength for the hair. Olive oil naturally conditions the hair, making it shiny too. Lastly, honey is a humectant, making it a great moisturiser to add to your hair regimen.
