Finding Illustrators // Jean-Philippe Delhomme

http://www.jphdelhomme.com

I love his work. Jean-Philippe Delhomme is a Paris based fashion illustrator but I’ve also seen some architectural work from him as well. After typing that, I’ve realised that yes, he has a page on his architectural work on his site… Moving on swiftly, his concepts are similar to Quentin Blake, in the sense that he doesn’t try to make everything look perfect, which I like. I think it’s clear that he mainly uses paint. I like the way he captures the movements of people in his illustrations – you can almost visualise the way they would move around. This is something I need work on myself when creating characters. Note taken.

If you like these kind of posts, I’ve done more on this series in the past. Just search ‘Finding Illustrators’ and they’ll all come up.
