Hair Smoothie – Honey & Banana

Since a handful of you seemed to like my last hair smoothie post, I thought I may as well share another one with you. Let’s get stuck in!

You will need:
1/2 Cup Coconut milk
2 Tablespoons Olive oil
1 Tablespoon Honey
1 Banana
1 Egg

Blend everything together, making sure that all the banana has been blended well, then apply to washed hair. Cover your hair with a plastic cap for 20-30 minutes. Rinse out thoroughly with cool water and be sure to get all that egg out!

Benefits:  Banana contains vitamins and minerals that help to nourish and moisturise the hair and scalp. It also helps repair rough and damaged hair, making it silkier and smoother. Honey is a natural humectant, meaning it attracts moisture. It also contains useful minerals and is known to be antibacterial. The protein in raw eggs, promotes hair growth, strength, and nourishment.

So, this is definitely an all-rounder. If you try this, let me know how it goes!

A little tip…if your hair is already very course or strong, do not use too much protein such as hair mayonnaise etc, that’s better for fine, soft hair or brittle hair…you don’t want your hair to be too hard! I got that advice from Dr Hair himself, owner of ORS – Organic Root Stimulator.
