March Blog Tip #2: Unfollowers

Why You Shouldn’t be Afraid of Unsubscribers & Unfollowers | Jen Carrington

Why Unfollowers are a Blessing in Disguise | October June

For my second main tip this month, I just had to include two blog posts that I stumbled across. They’re just so informative and truthful. I was nodding my head constantly as I read them. I used to get discouraged when seeing people unsubscribing from my blog. But there’s so much more to it than that. It could mean your blog is just getting more refined. The points that Lizzie and Jen make in their blog posts are so helpful, if you’re a new blogger and you get worried about this. I started blogging because I enjoy writing, not for numbers, but posts like these are useful – we all want to know why people may not enjoy our content, or want to keep following. It’s just not always a bad thing.

Be true to yourself and the right people will follow. Those who unfollow are those who followed you for the wrong reasons anyway. I don’t track my follows, the only thing I look at are my stats, because if you want to monetize your blog it’s the views that matters, not the follows. Good luck! I post blogging tips on my blog, maybe you can pop by!
