Some Things Take Time

  • The bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or the like.
  • An ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay

Patience is something that we all struggle with. We try to minimise waiting, as much as we possibly can. Only bad things come from impatience. I’m not saying I’m the most patient person in the world, but I am saying that good things come to people that wait, and a patient heart is something we should at least try to have. When I look back, I realise that, if I had everything I’ve ever wanted, as soon as I wanted it, I would be a very different person today. It doesn’t look great, hehe. I’ve seen a handful of people, forcing things to happen before the correct time. And I’ve seen nothing but disaster. Eating an unripened banana isn’t a very enjoyable experience, and the same rule should be applied to life.

Just try to remember that, if something hasn’t happened yet, it’s either going to make you stronger, or wiser in the end.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
Galatians 6:9
